SPOUT vinyl sticker
SPOUT vinyl sticker
From nose to fluke the SPOUT sticker is 4” x 3”. $3.50.
Drawing on Hudson’s history as a whaling port and their determination to bring Hudson back to life, dozens of business and civic leaders in 1975 formed the Society to Promote Our Unique Town – or SPOUT. They paid a local graphic artist, Richard Kraham, $75 to design SPOUT’s logo, a spunky whale that today adorns Hudson’s street signs. For two decades, SPOUT was a phenomenal success, drawing shoppers “downtown” through creative promotions, concerts, and lots of fun. Fighting the tide of suburbanization, SPOUT created a model for urban renaissance that other cities emulated.
These stickers commemorate Hudson’s whaling history and the tenacity of its residents in working together as a community through tough times.
All proceeds from this sale will go to the Hudson Area Library History Room.
